Geeks on Wheels is coming to Hawke’s Bay

We’ve got some exciting News! Geeks on Wheels is extending its services, and our newest location is, drum roll please……. Hawke’s Bay!

Geeks on Wheels will be covering areas from Waipukurau & Takapau to Eskdale & Tongoio. Of course, including Napier, Hastings and Havelock North. For nearly two decades, we’ve been helping Kiwis make the most of their technology, earning ourselves the most 5-star ratings of any tech repair provider in the process. Thanks to over 8,500 5-star reviews.

Now we’re eager to bring our expertise to even more people in an important part of the North Island. We believe that with the right advice, knowledge, and education, your tech can really be of benefit to you! Especially with so much of our lives relying more and more on technology each day!

If you have some friends or relatives in the Hawkes Bay region, let them know Geeks on Wheels will be arriving in June. Offering all of our regular services, including Wi-Fi optimisation, email support, antivirus installation, malware removal, Star-link installation and more! If you or someone you know needs help, simply call the friendly team on 0800 424 335.

Just like in our other New Zealand locations, we’re eager to become an active part of the Hawke’s Bay community. Beyond just solving day-to-day tech issues, we’re dedicated to educating tech users. That’s why we’re committed to providing information sessions to community groups and aged care facilities, with a focus on scam prevention and online safety. A few of which we already have in the works! Do you know a community group or retirement village that could benefit from a FREE seminar about online safety? Feel free to email the team, and we can look at putting together a visit.

Meet Herschel, our Hawke’s Bay technician.

Originally from Cape Town, Herschel’s journey with tech began hands-on and full throttle. He spent over a decade as an IT field technician for the South African traffic department.

From there, he stepped up as head of RFID label programming, then moved into tech support and eventually managed a branch dealing with automotive diagnostic gear. Safe to say, if it plugs in or needs fixing, Herschel’s your guy.

He’s got a solid set of qualifications too, from CompTIA A+ to Microsoft Azure and Active Directory. His strengths lie in troubleshooting, Windows configuration, setting up LAN and WiFi, and hardware repairs. But don’t box him in – Herschel’s also mechanically minded and loves getting under the bonnet of a car.

Outside of work, you’ll find him spinning tracks as an award-winning DJ, printing his next 3D creation, or jamming on the PlayStation. His all-time favourite movie? 1987’s Robocop. He sums himself up in three words: fun, analytical, and realist. Pretty fitting for someone born before social media was a thing, but still thriving in the digital age.
