Pete is grown-up wizkid from the seventies, with over 30 years of experience across desktops, laptops, servers, networks, and working with people. He got his start as a computer tutor in 1987 and eventually earned the nickname “PC Doctor” from his clients, a title that stuck through decades of IT adventures.
Born in Nelson’s idyllic Moutere Hills, Pete’s love of tech started at age 10 when he programmed a Commodore Pet at Nelson Business Machines. That same year, he saw Star Wars, and the universe as he knew it changed forever. Today, he is a Windows Server specialist, but his real talent lies in connecting with people and making technology approachable.
When he’s not immersed in IT, Pete prefers to unplug completely, seeking holidays without Wi-Fi, tech, or phones. He also enjoys keeping up with the US sharemarket and practising his Te Reo skills. Relaxed, wise, and endlessly curious, Pete proves that true tech mastery comes with both skill and heart.
