Josh and his partner arrived in Wellington from Michigan, USA a year ago, moving away from home for the first time. A former college baseball player turned tech geek, he’s spent over a decade designing, installing, and servicing home networks, automation systems, and cameras. He also picked up IT Support and Cybersecurity certifications from Google in 2024.
Josh joins us as a seasoned Geek, having spent 7 years with Geek Squad in the States, helping everyday tech users with their computer and technology troubles.
When he’s not geeking out over networks and home tech, Josh is an avid sports fan and outdoor adventurer. He and his partner recently explored Australia’s east coast, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, hiking the Blue Mountains, and surviving a rainforest tour with two snake encounters (everyone came out fine!).
Helping people make the most of their tech keeps Josh motivated, whether it’s troubleshooting gadgets or showing someone how to get their home network humming. A former slow-pitch softball national champ and All-American, he thrives on teamwork, problem-solving, and a bit of friendly competition.
Fun fact: his dream is to catch the Super Bowl live.
