Jim H

Born in Australia, Jim spent the other half of his childhood growing up in Timaru. With computers being something that came naturally to him, Jim recognised that becoming a helpline technician was the perfect opportunity to further expand his knowledge of the IT world.

Jim first gained some of his computer literacy through his previous studies in game design. He considers his biggest strength to lie in explaining tech issues in terms that everyone can understand and he’s got a notable knack for troubleshooting Brother printers.

When he’s not taking your calls, you’ll either find Jim getting immersed in a game of Dungeons & Dragons or enjoying his time playing and designing games!

What our customers say about Jim

Today I had help from Jim with a remote installation which threw a few curve balls, but Jim was brilliant in navigating his way and solved issues with ease and humour. I have found this to be the case with any of the fab techs and staff overall. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else – Yvonne Dagley

I’m a registered user of the Geek Helpline, which is a godsend. “Jim” fixed not only a new problem re lost access to Word and Firefox….both happening unexpectedly and at absolutely the most inconvenient time….but also a long-standing printing issue that at least three others had tried in vain to fix. Helpline is easy to use and cost-efficient, particularly if you’re lucky enough to have someone like Jim at the other end of the phone – Marjorie

Fantastic service. Technician Jim’s problem solving skills and persistence provided has my business with a solution that was tricky to set up. I have used Geeks for many years and I can’t fault the level of friendly professional help from the front desk phone answering to technical assistance. Keep it up: 10/5 rating!!! – Peter C
