Mark grew up in East Auckland and has been pulling apart computers since his early teens, eventually realising he always finds his way back to tech. After a stint as a helpdesk contractor for a civil engineering firm, he moved into the family IT business, supporting schools across Auckland. He’s especially strong in hardware troubleshooting, thanks to a calm, logical approach to diagnosing faults.
Outside of work, Mark’s a big fan of the outdoors, whether he’s tramping, clay shooting, or exploring quirky architecture around the country. One of his favourite adventures was a 10-day South Island road trip lived entirely out of the back of an SUV, soaking in the scenery from Arthur’s Pass to Southland.
Motivated, diligent, and focused, Mark has a dry sense of humour and a bit of “excessive humility,” as he puts it. Fun fact: as a kid he wanted to be a paleontologist, thanks to a dinosaur obsession that probably never fully left.
